			Pizza Rolls Ingredients
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) – enough to make 12 rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Pinch of salt
- Olive oil (for spraying)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping) – 1/2 cup
Instructions
- Gather Ingredients: Collect all necessary ingredients to ensure smooth preparation.
- Prepare Dough: Allow store-bought dough to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes or roll out homemade dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Cut Dough Squares: Using a knife or pizza cutter, slice the rolled dough into 3×3 inch squares for uniform pizza rolls.
- Add Filling: Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt in the center of each square.
- Seal Rolls: Fold the dough over the filling forming a pocket and crimp the edges firmly to ensure the filling is sealed inside.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Arrange Pizza Rolls: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and place the pizza rolls in a single layer without overcrowding.
- Cook Rolls: Air fry the rolls for 8-10 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through cooking to brown all sides evenly.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pizza rolls carefully, allow them to cool slightly, and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add finely chopped basil or garlic powder to the filling.
- Do not overfill the dough squares to prevent leakage during cooking.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, these pizza rolls can be baked in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 12-15 minutes.
- Ensure the edges are sealed tightly to keep the cheese from melting out.
- Store leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer.
