For the Stir-Fry:
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped small
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 4 cups cabbage, cut into strips
- 1 pound ground beef
- An inch of ginger, minced up
For Serving:
- Cooked white rice
Instructions
- Prep: Warm up your oil in a big pan over medium heat.
- Start Aromatics: Toss in ginger and garlic, let them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- Cook Beef: Break apart the beef in the pan and let it cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add Vegetables: Cook mushrooms for 3 minutes, add cabbage and let it wilt for another 5 minutes or so.
- Finish: Stir in your sauces, seasonings, and green onions. Pile it on top of rice to serve.

- Feel free to use different types of mushrooms.
- Skip oyster sauce if you want.
