These Brownie Cheesecake Bars are the perfect combination of rich, fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake. A decadent treat for any occasion!

Brownie Layer:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Cheesecake Layer:
- 16 ounces (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Melt the butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
- Prepare Brownie Layer: Whisk melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Sift in cocoa powder and salt, then add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time. Mix in flour and fold in chocolate chips.
- Prepare Cheesecake Layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Assemble: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan. Spread brownie batter evenly, then top with cheesecake batter.
- Bake: Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the cheesecake is set. Let cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
- You can swirl the brownie and cheesecake batters together for a marbled effect.
- For a richer brownie layer, use dark cocoa powder.
