  • Author: Ella
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Buffalo Chicken Sliders are a perfect combination of tender shredded chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, creamy ranch dressing, and melted cheeses, all sandwiched between soft and sweet King’s Hawaiian Rolls. Perfect for game days, parties, or a cozy snack, these sliders bake to golden perfection with a buttery garlic herb topping that adds irresistible flavor and texture.

Ingredients

Scale

Buffalo Chicken Filling

  • 3 1/2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken preferred)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Franks)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cheese

  • 2 cups low moisture mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded

Slider Assembly

  • 12 count King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, honey, minced garlic, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the chicken is evenly coated.
  3. Prepare Rolls: Carefully slice the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Evenly spread the buffalo chicken mixture over the bottom halves of the rolls. Sprinkle the freshly grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the chicken layer. For extra cheesiness, you can layer cheese, then chicken, then more cheese.
  5. Add Top Rolls: Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and chicken to form complete sliders.
  6. Prepare Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt. Brush most of this mixture generously over the top of the rolls, reserving some for after baking.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the sliders tightly with aluminum foil to retain moisture. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is melted.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes to allow the tops of the rolls to get slightly crisp and golden brown.
  9. Cool and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Optionally, brush the remaining garlic butter mixture on top for a shiny and flavorful finish. Slice and serve warm for the best taste.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken is recommended for convenience and added flavor, but you can use any cooked shredded chicken.
  • If you prefer less spice, reduce the amount of buffalo sauce or use a milder sauce.
  • You can add extra cheese layers for more gooeyness.
  • Make sure to cover the sliders while baking initially to keep them moist.
  • Using King’s Hawaiian Rolls adds a sweet contrast to the spicy and savory filling, but you can substitute with other soft rolls if desired.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute cheeses with vegan alternatives and use dairy-free ranch.
