Ingredients
Scale
Firecracker Sauce
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 3 tbsp coconut sugar
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste (omit pepper for AIP)
Main Ingredients
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 tbsp green onion (sliced)
- 3 cups cauliflower rice (cooked) or steamed rice
Instructions
- Prepare Firecracker Sauce: In a bowl, combine buffalo sauce, coconut aminos, coconut sugar, rice vinegar, ginger powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and adjust seasoning as needed to achieve your desired flavor balance.
- Sauté Broccoli: Heat the avocado oil in a large pan over medium heat. When the oil is shimmering, add the broccoli florets and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until they are lightly crisp but tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste and then set the broccoli aside on a plate.
- Cook Ground Chicken: Using the same pan, add the ground chicken and season lightly with salt and pepper. Crumble the chicken with a spatula and cook thoroughly until no longer pink, ensuring it is evenly browned and cooked through.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked broccoli to the pan with the ground chicken. Pour the prepared firecracker sauce over the mixture and stir continuously until the sauce coats the chicken and broccoli evenly and everything is heated through.
- Serve: Spoon the firecracker chicken and broccoli mixture into serving bowls along with cauliflower rice or steamed rice as the base. Garnish the bowls with sliced green onions for a fresh and vibrant finish.
Notes
- For an AIP-compliant version, omit black pepper from the sauce and seasoning.
