Gummy Bear Fizz Recipe

  • Author: Ella
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Gummy Bear Fizz is a playful and refreshing fizzy drink that combines colorful gummy bears with sparkling lemon-lime soda, fruit juice, and club soda. Perfect for parties and summer gatherings, this delightful beverage offers a fun burst of fruity flavors with a candy-infused twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup gummy bears (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1 cup fruit juice (choose your favorite, e.g., mango juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, or blue raspberry punch)
  • ½ cup club soda or sparkling water (optional, for extra fizz)
  • Ice cubes (optional, to keep chilled)

Optional Garnishes

  • Gummy bears on skewers
  • Fresh fruit slices (orange, lime, or lemon)
  • Sugar for rim
  • Lemon juice for sugar rim

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glasses: Add about ¼ cup of gummy bears to the bottom of each tall glass. If desired, create a sugar rim by dipping the glass rim in lemon juice, then dipping it in sugar for a sparkly effect.
  2. Mix the Base: In a large cup or small pitcher, combine the fruit juice and lemon-lime soda. Stir in the club soda or sparkling water if you want extra fizz for a light and bubbly drink.
  3. Pour and Watch the Magic Happen: Pour the mixed beverage into the prepared glasses over the gummy bears. Observe as the gummy bears start to float, swirl, and soak up the flavors of the fizzy drink.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with a few more gummy bears on a skewer or floating on top of the drink for a fun presentation. Serve immediately with a straw to enjoy the bubbly, fruity, candy-infused refreshment.

Notes

  • Use Haribo classic gummy bears as they hold up best in liquid without getting too soft too quickly.
  • For a sweeter taste, use Sprite; for a lighter, less sweet version, choose Perrier Lemon Sparkling Water.
  • Mix juice and soda ahead of time and refrigerate; add gummy bears just before serving to prevent them from dissolving too fast.
  • Batch for parties by tripling the recipe and serving from a large dispenser with gummy bears on the side for guests to add themselves.
  • Store mixed juice and soda in the fridge up to 24 hours; do not store with gummy bears to prevent them from becoming too soft.
