  • Author: Ella
  • Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 12 servings 1x

Description

Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark is a delightful treat combining rich milk chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and sweet, creamy caramel. This easy no-bake recipe creates a perfect balance of salty and sweet flavors with a satisfying crunchy texture, ideal for snacking or gifting during holidays and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 (12 oz) bag Milk Chocolate Chips

Pretzel Layer

  • 8 oz Pretzels (Half of a 16 oz bag)

Caramel Drizzle

  • 1 (11 oz) bag Kraft Caramels, Unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring well between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Spread the chocolate base: Pour and spread about two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper on the baking sheet, forming the base layer.
  4. Add pretzels: Arrange the pretzels evenly on top of the chocolate layer. Gently press them into the chocolate to ensure they stick well.
  5. Melt the caramel: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unwrapped caramels with the heavy cream. Microwave for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the caramel mixture is smooth and pourable.
  6. Drizzle caramel: Evenly drizzle the melted caramel over the layer of pretzels for a luscious sweet topping.
  7. Drizzle remaining chocolate: Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the top of the caramel and pretzel layer to create a marbled effect and additional chocolate richness.
  8. Chill to set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until the bark is firm and set, about 1-2 hours. Once set, break into irregular pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use sturdy pretzels that will hold their crunch after chilling.
  • If you prefer, dark or white chocolate can be substituted for milk chocolate.
  • Microwave times may vary; stir frequently to avoid scorching the chocolate or caramel.
  • Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on the top after drizzling the caramel.
