Scale
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup vanilla protein powder
- ¾ cup oat flour (or finely ground oats)
- ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Wet Ingredients
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 tbsp Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Optional Coating
- Pink/red sprinkles or extra crushed freeze-dried strawberries
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup vanilla protein powder, ¾ cup oat flour, ¼ cup crushed freeze-dried strawberries, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well blended.
- Add wet ingredients: Add 4 ounces of softened cream cheese, 3 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, and 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup to the dry mixture.
- Mix well: Stir all ingredients thoroughly until a thick, dough-like mixture forms. If the mixture feels too dry, gradually add 1 teaspoon of milk at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- Roll: Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls using your hands.
- Coat (optional): Roll the protein balls in pink or red sprinkles, or additional crushed freeze-dried strawberries, to add color and texture.
- Chill: Place the balls on a tray or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
- Enjoy and store: Once chilled, enjoy your strawberry cheesecake protein balls as a snack. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Use oat flour or finely ground oats for best texture.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of honey or maple syrup.
- If the mixture is too sticky, refrigerate it briefly before rolling.
- Freeze-dried strawberries add intense flavor without moisture; avoid fresh strawberries to keep mixture dry.
- These protein balls can be made vegan by substituting cream cheese and Greek yogurt with plant-based alternatives.
