  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Strawberry Lasagna is a no-bake, layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy sweetened cream cheese filling, and fresh sliced strawberries. It is chilled to set, making it a refreshing and crowd-pleasing treat perfect for warm weather or any occasion that calls for a light and fruity dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 package Graham Crackers, crushed into fine crumbs (About 1012 sheets)
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted

Filling

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 8 ounces Whipped Topping, thawed (can substitute with homemade whipped cream)

Topping

  • 3 cups Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers with melted butter. Mix well until all crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form an even layer. Allow it to set.
  2. Make the cream cheese filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined, creating a light and fluffy filling.
  3. Assemble the layers: Spread half of the cream cheese filling evenly over the prepared graham cracker crust. Layer half of the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the strawberries. Finish by adding the remaining sliced strawberries on top and, optionally, sprinkle powdered sugar over the final layer.
  4. Chill the dessert: Cover the assembled dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
  5. Serve: Once fully chilled and set, cut the strawberry lasagna into squares and serve chilled as a refreshing dessert.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing and a smooth filling.
  • For a homemade alternative, make your own whipped cream instead of store-bought whipped topping.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and presentation.
  • Allow sufficient chilling time to help the layers firm up, making it easier to slice and serve.
  • Optional powdered sugar garnish adds a touch of sweetness and decoration but can be omitted if preferred.
